Wonderful area disappointed with site

Lovely area and beautiful scenery and very quiet location. The farmer owner is very friendly and helpful. The site is sloping and not lawn. The farmer used his bigger vehicle to help reverse caravan into position when our vehicle was trying to reverse in position and the clutch began to smell of burning. Even his vehicle had a smell of rburning when reversing uphill. Inadequate toilet and casette waste disposal facilities shared with over 20 seasonal caravans on a flat site in an adjacent field. There were 7 caravans on the hideaway site not 5. Fortunately we had our own facilities

Very quiet out of main season

We really enjoyed our stay. The site is very peaceful out of main season. Apparently the field can accommodate 7 pitches, but we had the place largely to ourselves in late June. There was one shower and toilet for men and one for women. This was fine for our stay, but I can imagine it being a dash for an empty shower in the height of season. As there is another site of about 15 vans, apparently, serviced by the same block, this could really overload the facilities. Out of season quiet... In height of the season... not so sure. We felt  that the price was at the top end of reasonable bearing in mind that there is a charge for showers.

Too many caravans

We have stayed here before and it remains, as described, a good spot from which to explore the peninsula. It is well kept, with good views although we found the TV reception to be inconsistent. The site has 7 pitches and the owner does book them all out (in breach of the Club license). So, if you expect to share the site with a maximum of 4 other vans then you may be disappointed, as we were.

Great site 2

Agree with everything in Oct 2020 review. Plus we had a great, if hilly, bike ride from there. Would just add that you need to be be stocked up on 20p pieces for the shower. Laundry is the usual £1 coins. Both are excellent. Lovely site, gorgeous location, friendly owners.

Great site

We have stayed on this site before and will go back again. It is a great spot from which to explore the Llyn Peninsula and close to Morfa Nefyn. We find it a relaxing place and there are lovely views from the site. The site is well set up, facilities including a small toilet/shower block are good. The grass is nicely cut and it feels well looked after. The owners are friendly, welcoming and on hand if needed.

Really lovely site

We had a fabulous stay at this peaceful farm site with lovely owners and simple but neat facilities. As Motorhomers and walkers this site suited us really well. It is a GOOD walk to Morfa Nefin and then along the beach to the Ty Coch in on the beach and back, but it is mainly along quaint single track roads and small walkways - once you have got down to the pub on the roundabout which is ok too. If you are in a caravan then car access to lots of Stunning places along the Llyn peninsula is easy and short drives, from pretty beaches to the north or seaside towns to the south. Lots to see. The site itself has space and tranquility- highly recommended

Excellent site

Lovely welcome from the owners & nothing too much trouble for them, the site is great, clean, tidy & well maintained. Beach & shops not far away & a pub within walking distance. We will definitely be returning, could not fault anything.

Haven

Not having visited Nefyn area before and having a friend nearby we booked a week at this site. Met Ann on arrival and directed to site which is about half a mile away from the farm. The CL field is at the bottom of a long paved private lane on the right. The one on the left is forseasonal pitches. Two other vans when we arrived so legs down and admired the view out to the coast. Beautiful. Morfa Nefyn is about two miles away and has a shop that sells Coop products a garage with cheaper fuel that Nefyn and a chippy. A bit further on is The Cliffs, a large pub that overlooks the bay. Great food. If you go onto the beach down the steps and go left you can walk about half a mile or so to Ty Coch, another pub with award winning food. To be honest we went on a crowded day and they were struggling to cope. Stunning position. having booked a week we were able to travel to all the local seaside towns. Abersoch was our favourite with the Butlins town being very down at heel. Cant spell Pwllheli. Aberdaron is a pretty little place with a nice tea shop doing fresh crab sandwiches. Gwyn the other half of Ann was about everyday tending the sheep. Wonderful warm chap with a wealth of local knowledge. Shame he missed the sheep that got its head stuck in a bucket. A great CL, spotless in every respect. I have no idea what one of the reviewers on here is moaning about. All we can say his loss is a gain for the rest of us.

What an amazing site

Easy access to the farm but as advised by Mr Davies to let him know when your ETA is. My mothership is 5 tones and 9 metres so very grateful when Mrs Davies escorted me to the site. Mrs Davies gave us the choice of pitches, so lovely, allowed us to settle in before returning to ask if everything was OK. At once it was apparent of the breath taking surroundings. As motorhomers we either walk, catch a bus or bike, last resort taxi. The later was not used. The female toilet and shower were spotless and as reported by husband same as for the males. My only suggestion would be its needs two loos and not one. As the pitch was fully serviced we used our own shower. The price of the pitch was spot on and would recommend it to my fellow caravan and motorhomers. The beach was about 2 miles away, since we are never in rush the walk was perfect for us and our two puppies. The local pub serves great grub and dog friendly as is the amazing pub on the beach, beach also dog friendly. Would I return, you bet I would, but don't tell to many people otherwise when I book it gona be full.

Great place for a peaceful scenic holiday and security

We arrived at this lovely quite camp site situated on elevated ground look at mountain hills and the distant coastal village of Morfa Nefyn May 6th 2019. After the road off the A497 we turned past Mr Davies's Farm on left prior to entering the site which had a full bloom of blue bells on either side of the drive entrance. A small but very clean toilet block showers and laundry are available as required. The site was spotless with designated waste storage available. The sheep and spring lambs were plenty. The area of Morfa Nefyn has great opportunities for cycling walking relaxing beach pubs etc. The site is kept and managed by Mr Davies. One extra special thing I will mention is that while we were staying at the site I became seriously ill and without stating the details ended up in hospital for three days in Bangor hospital some distance away. I called the site owner and informed him of my problem and he visually ensured my motorhome security. The owner called me at the hospital to ask if we needed assistance in anyway to call him. When eventually we returned to the site to pack away and head home Mr Davies seeing my health problem assisted in safe storage of various camping items cables ramps etc. What a nice owner this site has Mr Davies I am very grateful to you and look forward to seeing you and your site again. Many Thanks P Jones
