We chose to stay at this site during our visit to Wigan to be closer to our family. There aren't many campsites in the area, so discovering this one nearby was a real find. It's a newly established site that offers a peaceful and tranquil setting. It features three hardstanding pitches, 16amp EHU, water, and elsan disposal facilities. The owner of the site is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We had no trouble locating the site, and it provides a secure environment for guests with padlocked gates - you are provided a key for your stay. The pricing is fair at £22 per night, including EHU. Conveniently situated between junctions 26 and 27, this site is an ideal stopover for those traveling on the north-south route of the M6, offering a perfect overnight resting place. There is some noise from the nearby motorway, but it's not too intrusive. Note that there's no facilities for children, and limited dog walking areas on the working farm.
