superb quiet site

We have just returned from this CL after a 4 night stay. Lovely well kept site with fully serviced pitch. Hardstanding has now been added on the first 4 pitches. A lovely area of Powys, we visited Llangollen,Welshpool,Chirk Viaduct,Montgomery and what a beautiful part of Wales. The site is well kept back to basics but very well tended to. Our dog loved the freedom as we were the only unit with a dog she roamed and thoroughly enjoyed herself. The dogs that live here are so friendly and the apples on the tree are to die for (sorry had to scrump one). Views from the site are stunning and although just off the main road very minimal road noise. If you are in this area i would definately recommend this cosy stop off.

Absolute Tranquility 2nd visit

This our 2nd visit to Glandir, Graham is always welcoming and his 3 wonderful dogs too,if there were more than 5 stars Graham and Glandir would get it. Awesome walks along the canal into the village of Berriew, and a shallow river running through which our dogs loved,,2 pubs in the village,we ate lunch at the Talbot very welcoming and a great pint or 2 of guiness my hubby said. Went to Chirk aqueduct and town, then to Llangollen and the Pontycillyte aqueduct, beautiful. The horseshoes over the road from Glandir is a great meal too and welcomes dogs too in their large beer garden. Very sad to be leaving today 4 days isn't enough, we will be back next year, Thank you Graham and family, super CL and very clean and well kept, spacious and more... Eric and Janette

FAB 1 night stay!

We stayed here for 1 night on the spur of the moment. SO lovely…went for a long bike ride along the tow path next to the canal - gorgeous! Had a lovely meal in the pub opposite. Graham and his dogs made our stay really special.

Great CL

This was our second visit to the CL as we visit our son who lives nearby. The site is always immaculate, this time Graham was cutting the grass as we arrived. Nothing is too much trouble and we will be returning again. The pub over the road is well looked after and convenient. I can thoroughly recommend this CL, friendly owner, great views and convenient to visit Welshpool, Montgomery etc .The pitches all have water tap and electric and are floodlit if you have to use them in the dark. Great place.

Excellent site, great location

Great site, large pitches each with EHU & water. Nice views, very well kept. £16 p/n paid cash as only booked day before. Very friendly owner. A little road noise but no problem overnight. Near canal for walking also nice flat cycling around the area. We visited the Sculpture Museum which is definately worth a visit. Kerry Vale vineyard has a very smart cafe & we enjoyed the wine tasting, also The Cottage Brewery is very hospitable & tasty beers. We stayed a night also across the road at The Horshoes pub which had great food & hospitality.

Loving this CL site.

We have enjoyed our stay on Graham's CL. Very pretty and well kept site. Handy for Welshpool, Newtown and surrounding areas. We had a day out at Lake Vyrnwy, stunning. Berriew village is beautiful, very quaint with canal walks beside village. Leaving Thurday, very sad, but we will definitely be back. Thankyou Graham for your hospitality. Chris and Gareth Edwards..

Wonderful Stay

A very warm welcome was received from Graham. There are one grass and 4 hardstanding pitches with the far side of the field left so we can enjoy the amazing view of the rolling hills. Each pitch has a water tap as well as the usual electrical hookup. The Horseshoe pub is just across the road where you can get onto the canal and walk into Welshpool or head to Newtown and you'll find another pub about 2m away. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Glandir and are looking forward to returning later in the year.

Great CL

Had a lovely 4 night stay on this site to break our journey from Lancs to South Wales. Very welcoming helpful but not intrusive owners. Water tap on each pitch. Mixture of grass and hardstanding. A little road noise during day but not at night. Great access straight off the A483. Super walks on the canal just over the road and also Excellent pub The Horseshoes within minutes. Would definitely use this CL again.

Eventually made it !!

Eventually made it to Graham’s CL having had to cancel 2 previously booked visits Great welcome off Graham, his first visitor of the year after lockdown’s Site is level, as previously said taps on all pitches, recycling facilities, nice views, recent hard standing added Secure site two gates… one even automatic 👍 … operated by Graham 😂 he knows what I mean Located right by canal, good walk into Welshpool one way & Berriew or even Newtown the other, plenty of other walking Pub across the road... unfortunately not open during our visit shall have to return to sample it Many thanks to Graham See you again Howard
