Enjoyed return to using a CL site

This was a plunge for us, our pervious experience with using a CL site (back in 2017 and a different area) was a unhappy one, however, the visit to Grate Farm was a really great experience, we found the owners Jeff and Nancy very helpful, welcoming and friendly, they showed that we could have a really good experience on a CL site. Yes you can here traffic noise from the road 2 fields away but so what, the road being so near means no negotiating a narrow county lanes for miles, or up some big steep hills with really bad bends. We think that for the fee this site is really good value and we will return. Being fully serviced is also great, bit of a walk for chemical disposal but most of those going to this area are going for walking anyway. For us there are just a few little negatives, the cattle grids on the entrance road are getting ready for a bit of repair also the pitches do slant from front to rear of caravan which meant our air awning had a strange stance. All in all we had a great experience there and fully enjoyed our stay. Suggest taking all weather footwear and clothing if you go when weather could be wetter. While at Grate Farm we listened to The Queen's funeral upon the radio god bless her, we found this very moving and close to home having only just lost my mother before going to Grate Farm. Thank you Jeff & Nancy.
