Superb and would highly recommend

We received a warm welcome from the owner on our arrival. She gave us lots of helpful tips of where to eat and local walks. Hard standing pitches that are well spaced out and an uninterrupted view. This is a working farm and our son enjoyed seeing the chickens, goats and watching the daily alpaca walks. The animal enclosures are spotless as are the pitches. A very enjoyable 2 night stay and would highly recommend. The site is central to several places to visit, on our stay we visited Delamere Forest, Blakemere Village and Cheshire Oaks. Good pub food available close to this site.

Ideal CL

Stayed overnight on way to Scotland and on homeward journey. Well laid out and kept very tidy. Hard standings overlooking beautiful countryside. About 3 miles from M6 down a clearly sign posted country lane. Yes it is a working farm so owners very busy, we found it ideal to pop our money in an envelope and put it through the reception letterbox. There is a bit of air traffic noise but nothing disturbing. Very nice local pubs to eat and drink. Will certainly use again.

Noisy Site

Did not feel much like a nice CL, it's well laid out, but no-one to see you, can't leave any rubbish, only recycling, and it's on a flight path so the plane noise is pretty constant. Would not recomment it.

Ok but won't come back

It's a nice site but it's not worth £15 a night because there are no toilets. It's advertised as £10. On arrival you have to go to reception there is no one there. A sign just says it's £15 a night and you put your money in an envelope and that's it. Didn't see the owners all weekend. It's a very noisy site as it's on a flight path. There is a static caravan that had the TV on loud all the time. Plus tractors etc. There are 2 caravans perm sited on 2 of the pitches. Which is wrong. Reduces the site to only 3 pitches then. They both had dogs and there was dog mess around the water taps. The water tap was ridiculously low to fill a barrel. Didn't find it a friendly site at all.

Good location for sight-seeing, walking and cycling...

Well laid out site with views, and cheaper rate in the week - very good value. Tap seems to be set for midgets though - about a foot from the ground! Occasional noise from aircraft and farm machinery. Good location for iconic Gt Budworth ('Our Zoo' filmed there), Arley House (location shots for 'Sherlock Holmes' and 'Peaky Blinders'), the Salt Museum in Marston and the Anderton Boat Lift visitors' centre. Plus plenty of opportunities for cycling and walking. Can recommend the George & Dragon in Gt Budworth for quality pub food and ales, and the nearby ice-cream farm.

A Brilliant site

We have used this site for some years now and will continue to do so in the future. It's so well situated for either an overnight stop (just a couple of miles from the M6) or longer, for exploring the area or just taking a peaceful break. The pitches are all hard standing so weather matters not, the tap has good pressure and recycling is available too (including a dog bin). Very private, secluded and friendly. Well signed and easy to find. A brilliant site.

Great little CL!

Stayed here for three nights over half term to visit family nearby. Great situation, down quiet country roads. Hard standing pitches overlooking countryside were perfect, especially on the third day when the rain returned. The dogs were well catered for with plenty of walks available off site. It was slightly odd never to have any contact with the owners but this wasn't a problem as instructions for payment were clear.  Not within walking distance maybe, but the Red Lion at Pickmere serves great food at very good prices. Worth a visit. I would definately use this site again.

Well kept, well placed, well run

As others have said, well signed. The site is very well placed for local footpaths, Marbury Country Park, Tatton Park. Bus to Northwich wiithin easy walkiing distance. Good views ocer adjacent fields.

Worth a look!

It's difficult to add anything new to comments already made by others. Aircraft noise not a problem to us or the dog.  Signage for access and where to sign in and pay are spot on. Like others I'm intrigued by the mysterious owners who were never seen! They do however keep the site in very good order. It is a working farm and at this time of year (mid/end August) I assume they are very busy. No hesitation in recommending.

First visit to this CL

Very impressed with the neatness and layout of the site. Exceptionally clear signage, including where to pay! usually have difficulty finding someone to do this rather important item. Highly recommended.
