Beautiful spot

Just spent a very peaceful and relaxing couple of days at orchard lodge, arrived late afternoon left to set up and then greeted by Peter with some very useful information regarding lots of walks in the area, we went for a lovely meal at the Sherborne arm just down the road.Access is very straight forward and no issues there overall a lovely spot we shall be back.

Lovely rural location

This is an extremely pleasant CL with easy walking access to the local town of Bibury. It was straightforward to book on line with all there necessary information. We were impressed with the organisation on arrival and the friendly owner came to our pitch to make sure we had all we required. We enjoyed the rural setting and being able to hear the sound of the sheep in the adjoining field. Definitely a CL to revisit!

Shhhhh, don’t tell anyone

This site has to be one of the best we’ve been to. What a gem. We only had a 2 night stay and the weather wasn’t being kind, it didn’t stop us from enjoying it though. A kind friendly greeting from the owner Peter. The rest has already been said. We most definitely will be back hopefully with our friends. Thank you Peter

Very impressed with this site

Stayed here for 3 nights recently. The site is exceptionally well kept and managed. The owner popped down to see me shortly after arrival and explained the site and surrounding area. He also gave me some information sheets and maps for local walks. This is a great location for anyone visiting the Cotswolds, or just to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside. He did mention though that the farm machinery workshop beside the site can be a bit noisy during the working week with tractors and vehicles moving in and out. Well worth a visit and we will certainly go back. Regards, Mal

excellent CL

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Orchard Lodge and were sorry we weren't able to stay longer. Lovely owners, quiet and peaceful, easy access and lots of interesting places to visit. The sister site Orchard Meadow with grass pitches faces the main road and looks really nice too. I would have no hesitaton in recommending either of these lovely CL's

Friendly quiet site in the Heart of the Cotswolds

Despite COVID restrictions we were made very welcome. The site is perfect for walks to Bibury (two routes easy from the site) and a great base for a day out in Cirencester.

Great CL in the heart of the Cotswolds

As mentioned on so many previous reviews, this site is a really great CL. Orchard Lodge is located at the rear of the farmhouse, and its sister CL, Orchard Meadow is an all grass pitch site adjacent to a quite B road on one side of the farmhouse. Both have a CCTV monitored gated entrance. We stayed on Orchard Lodge which has 4 hardstanding pitches and 1 grass pitch. All are easily accessible, level, with 16A EHU and water taps; grey waste can be piped into the adjacent hedge or field. Julie & Peter are excellent hosts who give a warm, friendly and informative welcome on arrival and can often be seen or will stop for a chat around the site on this working sheep farm. Julie & Peter provided information and a couple of A4 maps of the local area. The village of Bibury is very close, about a mile away with an easy level walk to the village mostly on good footpaths. Bibury itself is a very pretty village with the trout farm, the river area and the Catherine Wheel pub definitely with a visit but unfortunately good tourists magnets. The downside of the village is that a parking space is very difficult to find and the main road along the river and through the village often packed with tourists and parked cars. My advice would be to leave the car on site and see the village early in the morning or on an evening. We have a motorhome, so during the day we cycled around the surrounding, equally picturesque villages on very quite roads and almost traffic free country lanes, with The The Keepers Arms in the village of Quennington being a great pub stop on a day out. If you would like to visit lovely Cotswold villages, the Bibury area is great location to find them and Orchard Lodge or Orchard Meadow are without doubt really good Cls in which to base yourself.
