Great site shame about A39

We spent six nights at this site. Made to feel welcome with clean facilities. However the traffic on the A39 is constant through the day. This didn't bother us as we don't spend time sitting around the van in the daytime but if you do then this isn't the site for you. The A39 is like a race track for motorcyclists. I'm surprised no one has been killed as the speed that they travel at is ludicrous. The traffic only seems to ease off around 10pm ish and starts to get busy again around 7am. Having said this it is an easy site to access and very handy for Clovelly, Bude and Tintagel.

The A39 Atlantic Highway is the major route along the north coast so it’s bound to be noisy I’m afraid. That’s why it pays to check a map or Google Earth for such things.

Thank you for your review. However, I have to dispute what you have written. Yes we are on the A39 as it is clearly shown on Google maps. The noise that you refer to regarding the motorbikes sometimes occurs on a Sunday in good weather and not during the week, and is tolerable and certainly does not continue until 10pm.

We live in the house on site and do not find it to be a problem neither do our B&B guests, or guests in our static caravan which is adjacent to the campsite. Please refer to Booking.Com to see how satisfied our guests have been, and made no mention of traffic noise.

You have stated that you were not around during the day time. How can you make a comment with regard to the traffic during the daytime. The road is busy in the morning and early evening. During the day it is not intrusive.

I feel that you have not illustrated your comments accurately. We are a small camp site that provides our users with the facilities that are required and you have made no mention of the noise to us.

Thank you for staying with us. I am sorry that you felt our site was not up to your expectations, however, you knew we were located of the A39 so must have been aware that this was a main road, and situated in an area of exceptional natural beauty.
