We stayed here after a long drive from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 we used the CL as a stopover as we were travelling further down South. It is close to all the main roads travelling South and North so excellent for stopovers and longer stays to tour this beautiful area of the UK. It is perfect base to visit the beautiful City of Durham, North Yorkshire and further afield to Barnard Castle etc. The sites hosts Tom and Mark were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and were very friendly. The CL’s stars were the gorgeous two donkeys. They were in a paddock adjacent to the field if you couldn’t see them you could hear them in a reassuring way as great addition to a CL. Very dog friendly. The toilet facilities we perfect, absolutely spotless. Please don’t overlook this CL as it is a hidden gem.
