February Visit

The site has 5 decent sized H/S pitches, all with views across Wharedale to Middleton Moor and beyond. The site is very easily accessed of the A65 and is within comfortable walking distance of Ilkley it's self along a pavement. The entrance way is wide and has a coded security gate, and there is a bus stop a few yards up the road. There are a couple of footpaths close by, one leading down to the river and the other can be use to access Ilkley Moor. Although the A65 is a busy road during the day (especially at the moment as the road over Blubberhouses to Harrogate is closed due to landslips so traffic is diverted through Ilkley) there was not a lot of traffic noise during the night and we were not duly disturbed. It should be noted that the cost per night is now £14, which we consider a bit excessive for a site without a toilet & shower and no information hut. However it's location is ideal for visiting this area of Yorkshire and we would certainly consider using it again in the future.
