On our way westwards we stopped overnight and visited Shugborough the next morning. We bought some lovely just picked, fresh strawberries from the farm shop on site and also sat outside the shop in the sun enjoying a scone and pot of tea. The owner was very friendly and helpful. This is a basic CL with virtually no facilities and we were aware of that beforehand so no complaints from us on that account, especially as we have full facilities on-board. We liked the field with it's views, the grass was well kept and although the earlier reviewer mentioned the noise it wasn't a problem for us at all. Would we stay again....yes if we were in the area. Would we recommend it, with the proviso that you do need to have full facilities on-board then certainly - we enjoyed our visit.
