Lovely site

Stayed here back in Oct 2015, been back June this year and just as we rembered, a lovely site, fab meadow to walk our 2 dogs, sue and Terry very helpful, shower and toilet kept very clean although we used our caravan shower mostly but also used these facilities twice. Will definitely make this a site to visit again, within walking distance of local pub swanlake had a couple of really good meals here and atmosphere very friendly, cant wait to return again next tear.

Excellent CL, we will definitely be back

Absolutely delighted with our recent four night stay at Heath Cottage, we received a very warm welcome from Sue and Terry who take great pride with their CL. The CL is ideally situated between Pembroke (5m) and Tenby (5m) with a bus stop right outside the gate with an hourly bus service. We were in our motorhome and had a hardstanding with electric. The pitches are nicely set in an almost manicured lawn at the rear of the cottage with lovely views across the countryside. Although most of the time we used our own facilities the toilet and shower room was kept in excellent condition and very clean. A lovely site and we can’t wait to come back. Two pubs within walking distance, we only tried the Swanlake Inn which was great, good food and top cask beer. Surely a candidate for CL of the year.

Very nice site. Will go back there the next time I am in the area.

Very nice site. The owners were very friendly & welcoming. As with virtually all CL's, the on-site facilities are basic. There is a bathroom with a lavatory and a shower. As other people have pointed out, there is only one, so you may end up queuing at busy times of the year. That said, I think that most people that use CL's expect the facilities to be basic and bank on using the on-board facilities on their caravan. We went towards the end of the season and were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves as there was no one else there on the nights that we stayed. There is a very large "dog walking field" on site (around 20 meters walk from where my caravan was parked). This was extremely handy, especially when the dog wanted to go out in the middle of the night!!! The only criticism that I can come up with is that the grass in the dog walking field was a bit too long for my dog to be able to run properly (she's a greyhound, so not exactly a small dog and the grass was halfway up here legs). That is me being very fussy though. Other than that I can't think of anything to moan about!

Things I wish I'd known

We stayed here at the end of July what the information doesn't tell you is there is only one toilet/shower combined so when it's in use you have to wait. These facilities are very basic and need a VERY GOOD clean at the very least but a up date would be a suggestion. We would not stay there again.

Great Site in South Pembrokeshire

We stayed here for 10 days in June 2018, primarily for access to the southern end of the Pembrokeshire coastal path.

We used the bus to get to Tenby and then picked up a connection to Amroth for a walk back to the site along the coast. We walked other sections through to Pembroke by parking and getting the coast path bus to the start of a walk back to the car.

We tried the two local pubs, but were disappointed with the Tudor Lodge for food. The closer Swanlake Inn was rather better.

If you're there on a Wednesday, the market in the Village Hall is good for home made delights that include bara brith, cakes, bread, preserves, etc!

The MoD Castlemartin firing range is not far away and is used during the week, with night firing on a Tuesday. There's a viewing area for the public, which is signposted in the area and might be worth a look, particularly if Challenger tanks are involved!

The CL's toilet / shower were kept clean and in good order.

We enjoyed our stay!

Brilliant site and owners

Perfectly located between Pembroke and Tenby, loads of places to explore mostly with stunning beaches to sit on. As well Close to the coastal path. Site slopes a bit but Terry the owner was quickly on hand with wooden levelling ramps to sort that out. Ideal for a relaxed and peaceful break, adjoining access field a bonus for dog owners. There is a shower and toilet available for those that need it. Definatly one to come back to.

Lovely spacious site

We spent a week on this site at the end of May. The pitches are around a large field, giving a nice spacious site with lovely views. The facilities are good. There are tourist information leaflets and the owners have produced some walk descriptions (some straight from the site) which you are able to borrow. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. We were very lucky with good weather during our visit so are unable to comment on the wet ground mentionned by other reviewers. We would certainly recommend this CL.

Wish we could have stayed longer at this lovely peaceful site!

Stayed here for two nights over the May Bank Holiday but wished it was longer! Terry & Sue are wonderfully hospitable and welcoming. The facilities are all neatly located together and the toilet/shower room kept clean. The site is beautifully kept with the EHU discretely hidden in manicured shrubs. There is a huge dog walking field adjacent to the field as well as stunning, long coastal walks down to Swan Lake Bay & Manorbier right from the site (albeit you have to walk a short distance on the main road to access the coastal paths from in the village...would be ideal if the council trimmed the very long grass on the verge to make it a safer walk as it was a little hairy in places when some cars sped past!) Aswell as grass pitches there are two hard standings which are well maintained. There is the 349 bus to Tenby which goes once an hour (until about teatime) right outside the gate which costs (at the time of writing £4.30 it was single). We had a lovely day out in Tenby and a taxi back cost just over £20. This is a really lovely site, with smashing countryside views and is really well placed to explore beautiful Pembrokeshire. (5 miles in either direction to either Tenby or Pembroke). Would definitely stay again!
