Ease of arrival/welcome

Very pleased with our first CL

We really enjoyed this site. We called an hour before our arrival and Mr Williams made sure the plots had been mown and were good to go. When we arrived, there were two other couples there. He gave us a choice of the remaining pitches. We were a family of 4 adults in a caravan, with awning plus extension and two dogs. The pitch was huge and we could set it up how we liked. The dog walking field was also very large and the dogs can be off the lead provided the sheep weren't in the field (we didn't see them during our 1 week stay). The washing facilities are small and basic but more than adequate - a toilet, sink and electric shower - cleaned every day. No pot washing facilities. The view was great, and if you're into star gazing, the there was no light pollution, allowing you to see the Milky Way clearly. Beaches were close by and we spent some time on Manorbier, Barafundle, and Broad Haven South. We also visited Tenby (lovely but busy) and Saundersfoot (small, but pretty). Mr Williams was very helpful and friendly. Based on this stay, I think we'll be choosing CL sites over Club Sited from now on Note to caravanners - we drove from England so approached from the east, but given that I was towing I didn't want to go near Tenby so we took A477, the A4075 into Pembroke and A4139 to Jameston. Apart from the sharp left turn onto a tricky roundabout onto the A4139, I thought this was a wise choice. Although still a winding road to Jameston, if you approach the site from Tenby, there is a very tight kink in the road under the railway bridge. I'm glad I avoided it.
