Just what we were looking for.

We stayed for 7 nights in August. Weather was good and the site had everything that we were looking for in a CL.

3 super nights here

This is a gem of a site, easily reached from main road. All 5 pitches hardstanding with EHU and water/grey waste. Views from all pitches over fields to the sea. Ideally situated for those wishing to climb Wainwright's Western Fells. I bagged 7 whilst my wife enjoyed the tranquility of the location which is separated from the main farmyard. The toilet is wc plus washbasin with loads of hot water. I think in 2023 this will be a very popular location. Friendly family - and Nell the sheepdog which likes to visit.

Enjoying this nice new CL with easy access to the West Cumbria fells

We were one of the first two couples to use this CL after it recently opened. Pitches are level and spacious. Water and electric on each pitch. Toilet emptying at the end of the field. The shared toilet is by the farm house. A great welcome when we arrived. Lovely views out to the sea at Seascale and round the bay to Ravenglass. You can see some of the taller structures at Sellafield, but they are off to one side and not obtrusive. Handy pub at the bottom of the road and plenty of choice in Seascale or Gosforth. Ideal location to explore the West Cumbria fells, with close access to Wast Water. A great stay. I discussed the potential to add a shower into the toilet area, there's plenty of room in there for one. Might get added at some stage.
