Just had a lovely week at this little gem. Bit challenging to get to but if you ignore satnav and follow Ruth the owner’s excellent directions you can’t go far wrong. There are some great little walks straight from the site and the ferry across to Salcombe just over a mile down the lane to East Portlemouth. Leave some energy for the walk back though. Gara Rock beach is great for a swim with lovely golden sand, it’s a bit of a descent and a climb back but well worth it. Handy little shop at East Prawle and Kingsbridge not far for main shopping. Some folk have complained about the access and narrow lanes but all in all we found other drivers to be patient and courteous pulling into the many passing places.
