Lovely!

To be honest, we booked this as we couldn't find much else suitable for a motorhome at this time of year. What a find! It is exactly as it says on the website. Andrew could not do enough for us...very friendly and helpful with all our questions about the area. Thank you for the welcome gift - the Apricot conserve was smashing! Yes there is some noise from the road to the workshops (we were there Friday to Sunday), but places where you get no noise are very few and far between nowadays. A lovely stay... we will be back!

Wish all CLs were like this one

My wife and I have been members for over 30 years, and have never before encountered a CL site where pre-visit information was so readily and comprehensively available, via the CL's own website. The pre-booking online was easy to do, even including a deposit payment, and pitch availability was clear to see. The owner Andrew personally welcomed us soon after arrival, and even gave us a small 'welcome pack' containing local eggs and home-made jam! The pitch layout is excellent, with more than double the usual minimum spacing between pitches, all of which are level and fully-serviced with their own fresh and waste water points. The dog-walking field adjacent is much appreciated, as official footpaths nearby are somewhat lacking. The site is centrally-placed on the Lizard peninsula, and within easy reach of many local attractions. The only downside, as another reviewer has mentioned, is the intermittent noise from vehicles accessing the small industrial estate just beyond the CL, but people have to make a living, even in lovely Cornwall.

Pleasent Week

Easy booking process. Literally 100 yards off the main Lizard road. Good open site with hardstanding and bonus of fresh and waste water on each pitch. Andrew came over with welcome pack shortly after we arrived (eggs and jam). Also milk, eggs, bacon, sausage, cream etc from the farmhouse. Excellent location for access to all the wonderful places on the lizard. Only downside (which prevented a 5 star) was the traffic noise from the lane to the workshops - certainly not constant but noticeable at times.

Here again.

This is our favourite Cl and our 5th time here. (And booked for next year too). The site is very clean and tidy and Andrew and Sarah give you a very warm welcome. The pitches are fully serviced and the wifi is excellent (and free!!!). It's very quiet other than a few lorries going along the track at the side which after the first night we never hear..members return here Year after year so obviously it is loved by quite a few caravnners. Lots of very good walking in the area and lovely pubs. Remember to book early as this gem gets full very quickly.

Lovely Site but NOISEY

I can't fault the layout or cleanliness of the site however people should be aware of the noise. Behind the hedge where the caravans are located is a private lane with access to a few industrial units. Lorrys, vans and cars start using the lane from 0600 and we would hear the last car arriving at 0300. The rubbish bins were not emptied during the week we were there Great grey water services but have stayed at better CLs

Response from the Club:

Thank you for your review and we are pleased you liked the layout and appreciate the cleanliness of our site. The farm is a working farm and at times we need to start work early in the mornings and return late into the night, we try very hard to keep the noise to a minimum but I can only apologise that this time we did not meet your expectations. We have a variety of bins on site; the large 1100 litre recycling bin is emptied once a month during the busy summer season. In addition, there are also four 90 litre bins which are emptied on a regular basis. If at any time they are full, please let me know and I would be happy to empty them.

Our First Time To A CL

Wow this is our first visit to a cl, and what a gem. Nice layout on hardstandings and fully serviced, brilliant wifi which for us at the time was a god send although usually try to leave laptops at home . Andrew made us feel really welcome. We managed to get in some great walks around the Lizard, absolutely fantastic and I am sure we will visit this site again.

Best CL

This is our favorite CL in the UK. Great location for visiting the local area, easy to find and lovely views. We have visited all year around on many occasions. The hard standing pitches and gravel roads around the site mean that there is no problems with mud or moving around in any weather. On every occasion, we have been greeted by the owners in person, they provide a nice welcome bag with free goodies and eggs! A welcome letter with all information is in the bag. Great fast WIFI, which the we all need these days. Fast enough to stream TV, update Facebook and all the important things we need to do. The extra touches really add to the experience. The caravan club should have a new category of CL as this site is definitely not a field with a tap and electric hookup. Each pitch has full service with water, waste and electricity, this adds to that relaxing stay. Also herb garden, laundry facilities and lovely dog/walks around the farm are fabulous. I would strongly recommend this to anyone.

Almost Perfect CL

An almost perfect CL site to stay on. Great location, so many places to visit. Serviced hard standing pitches well spaced, free wi-fi all of which is brilliant. The lane running close to the caravans leads to an industrial site not workshops anymore. There are two heavy haulage companies working at end of lane plus others. This causes constant HGV lorries passing within feet of the caravans. What a shame to spoil such a perfect site.

Puts the CC to shame

All pitches are 'super' so we might struggle to get used to CC sites now. Running water, drainage and free wifi, amazing. Loved the vintage caravan for gifts etc. We have been visiting the Lizard for many years but I have to say the dog policy on so many beaches is tiresome. So many signs saying ironically 'Dogs welcome after 7pm'. It's so sad to go for a long walk but then to be excluded from so many lovely beaches.  Still a lovely site convenient for so many places on the Lizard.
