EXPENSIVE

We spent 5nights on this site. The owner is very helpful but that's as far as the positives go.£15 is very expensive considering there isn't even a tap at the chemical loo point. The site is overlooked by, and is in close proximity to some self catering holiday homes with some very noisy people sitting outside. The small lane which runs past the site can also be quite busy, perhaps we were just unlucky with the noise.

Comment from The Caravan Club:

Thank you for leaving a review. The CL owner has been in touch as she wishes to address your concerns. The self-catering cottages that you mention are managed by the CL owners and any guests who stay in a cottage sign a contract to, “not cause any noise to neighbours”. The noise you mention actually came from a private house that was celebrating as they had just got married, and we are very sorry that this disturbed your stay at this lovely CL Site. Please be assured this is not a regular occurrence but a one off to celebrate this special occasion.

The normally quiet lane was busy that weekend as it was the 3 day Coleford Music Festival (1 mile away). This is an annual event. During the rest of the year the lane is again quiet.

We are sorry that you do not feel the site is good value for money. The price is competitive for the area and many guests return time and time again. The CL owners have recently invested in electric hook up, secure fencing and an information hub and plan to continue to invest in the CL Site next year. We hope this helps address your concerns and thank you again for leaving a review.
