Lambing Live!

We had a lovely time on this CL in March. The weather was reasonably kind to us, and the ground stood up to the CL being full. Mr & Mrs Wood are lovely people and very friendly & welcoming. The fields surrounding the farm were full of ewes and their lambs. A joy to watch the lambs frolicking up the hill in front of us. You can walk into Coleford across the fields (or five minute drive) where there's a varied selection of shops including a large Co-op store, two bakeries and eateries; there's also steam railway museum to visit. Being in the Forest of Dean there are several woodlands to visit. For those who enjoy bird watching there are several places to go - New Fancy (goshawks), Symonds Yat (peregrines) to name two. Mrs Brown will give you any information about the area as you need. The White Horse at nearby Staunton serves good meals. We will certainly be back. Although others have reported TV/mobile phone reception was not good, we found we could get several TV stations (no don't have satellite) and phone worked occasionally.
