We booked this CL to explore the Wye Valley, and found it was a perfect base, only a few minutes drive down the hill to Redbrook. Written directions from Monmouth were supplied on request, but do NOT rely on satnav, which may take you via Symond's Yat. Friendly welcome, grass was cut, views of the lambs playing in the next field and good dog walking all around. The single track lane adjacent is so quiet, (we pitched next to it to get the best view) but Coleford with shops and facilities is only 5 minutes drive - amazing. The icing on the cake is the Ostrich pub a half hour walk or five minute drive. This ranks with the best of CLs, very friendly helpful owners, thank you, we will be back!
