Ease of arrival/welcome

Tranquil and welcoming

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay on this tranquil site in a beautiful location. On our arrival we were made very welcome by Eileen and John and we soon realised what a gem this site is. The site itself is very spacious and well maintained. It is in a wonderful location within easy walks to Coleford, a charming market town, and to the village of Newland with its medieval church (the Cathedral of the Forest) and local pub. The Forest of Dean is very dog friendly and there are numerous beauty spots or places of interest very close by, such as Symonds Yat, Goodrich Castle and Tintern Abbey. We felt that we had only scratched the surface of this area and look forward to returning to see more. We would have no hesitation in also returning to this site. Only one very minor point would be the slightly tricky waste disposal point - but this would in no way prevent us from returning to this site. Thanks again to our hosts - we had a great time.
