warm welcome at Christmas

Lovely CL, right next door to Salisbury Hillside where we normally stay. Only selected it due to Hillside being closed for the winter, but glad we did as the owner was so easy-going and welcoming. As it had been so wet she came out to advise us of an easier way out of the site, which made it easier. The views are lovely and far-reaching, and she said I could walk my dog at the bottom of the field, and could even let her off the lead as it's far away from the other caravans - such a huge area that my dog ran and ran in ecstasy, having been cooped up all day before travelling. Nice to meet such caring and friendly owners.

little gem

Having stayed here many times over the past 2-3 years, we felt it was time to share this place with fellow caravanners and motorhomers. A warm welcome awaits from the friendly owners, Malcolm and Vanessa, who are happy to help when needed. The field is well maintained with lovely views and clean water/disposal points. For us, this location takes some beating. In the immediate vicinity are Stockbridge and some lovely pubs and farmshops, slightly further afield are the lovely cities of Salisbury and Winchester (ideal for a christmas market outing!). You then have a reasonable drive, either through the beautiful New Forest, to smaller seaside locations such as Lymington and Milford-on-sea ,or through Ringwood (brewery tour), to larger resorts such as Bournemouth and Poole. We have even stayed as a stopover before catching the early ferry from Poole to the continent. The site has it all and is reasonably priced!

A Lovely week

We stayed here for 1 week to visit the area. A lovely site and a very warm welcome. Highly recommended for visiting Salisbury and Stonehenge.

Convenient stopover for Stonehenge

We needed a stopover on our way from Teesside to Poole and hoped to take the opportunity to take our children to see Stonehenge. The owners were generous enough to let us leave the van on site while we did our site seeing so we had a late departure. The site itself is easy to find as it is next door to the club main site and sat nav directions work. If you are happy to use your own washroom facilities, it’s a lovely spot. There’s lots more to see in the area too as it’s handy for Salisbury etc. Thanks to the owners for accommodating our needs.

Great CL

Spent 3 nights at Highview and what a great little non facilities site it is. A credit to the owners who maintain it to a high standard .Directions to site are spot on and using the postcode in our satnav brought us to the front gate. The CL is just passed the CC site. This is a great area for visiting local POI, on a very wet Sunday we spent 5 hours at the Army Air Corp museum, just 3 miles away at Middle Wallop. Figsbury Ring and Danesbury Hill forts are a short drive away. On the Monday I took advantage of getting the car MOT'd at the garage along the track, great service and had the car back in an hour. Spent one afternoon at Salisbury Cathedral listening to a choir practice for a concert that evening, lovely. Thanks Venessa and Malcolm for letting us stay.

Great site with far reaching countryside views and easy access to many places of interest.

Malcolm and Vanessa are really friendly and welcoming hosts. Quiet clean site at which we stayed in June 2017. No idea why people would choose to stay at the adjacent Club Site as long as you have your own 'facilities'. Easy reach of Salisbury. We visited the Cathedral, Old Sarum and Stonehenge - all well worth it. Chatted to Malcolm on a number of occasions who provided useful local information.
