The Joys of Life is a charming CL and one of the best we have found so far. The site is informally set out with large pitches - several of which are on hard standings, ideal for motorhomes. All have lovely outlooks. The grounds are extensive, both gardens and wild areas with a large lake. Lots of bird life and space to walk the dog. No shower but a useful loo and the water tap is particularly well sited to fill up motorhome tanks. We stayed 5 nights but could have easily stayed 10. There are lovely walks from the site (arm yourself with an OS map). All the public footpaths are well signed. Adjacent to the site is a nature reserve which you can cut through to the shops. There is also a lovely cycle path a stone's throw from the site along an old quarry line. It also makes a good base for the wider delights of North Wales. Do not be alarmed by the large slate quarry as you approach the site. You will quickly find that the quarry workings are part of the area's charms. Fabulous.
