Cracking Site!

We booked in for 3 nights intending to possibly stay for 4 but weather prevented this. Lovely picturesque site - warm welcome. The site is very well maintained and as others have said plenty to see there - including vintage tractors and goats. We found plenty of good walks and climbed up to the Waterloo Monument. Following the footpath from the village the climb up can be fairly steep and slippery in the wet as you approach the Monument. The shortest way back is the way you came, although there is a track through the forest but expect to walk about 6 miles to get back to the village. One word of caution if you return on the forest track - when you get to the T junction turn right not left as we did as after 1 1/2 miles you come to a dead end!! We will definitely return to the site and would highly recommend.
