Lovely CL site ..But ...

We stayed at this lovely enclosed cl site for 1 week in June 16..the site itself is lovely and private..only 3 caravans were on at any one time whilst we were there .. Margaret is lovely..I only spoke to her when we arrived and just before we left .. Didn't speak to the brother though. He didn't seem as friendly.. My but is.... We have 3 extremely well behaved dogs and always clean up after them immediately..which we did during our stay . We even swilled the area with water were they had done their business.. we put up windbreaks around our van . 1. To keep our dogs enclosed and safe without being on a lead 2..I have a very elderly dog and her sight isn't what it used to be so it's to keep her from getting lost . 3. To prevent our dogs from visiting other caravanners..although we love our dogs and they love other people not everyone is dog friendly . We usually go with family upto 4 caravans and all have dogs and they are used to visiting the other caravans . The toilet and site was extremely clean and well maintained.. the road noise didn't bother us . We had pitch 4.. Ideal Base for visiting the cotswolds..we even managed a show in Oxford..and we attend the Field and Country Gamefair over the weekend .(our main reason for going) ...back to my BUT.. nowhere to give my dogs a good walk and run around to burn off some energy plus we love walking too ..we did find the Hook Norton old railway cutting around 1 1/2 miles away but there was nowhere to park the car.. we then had to travel 14 Mile round trip to give them a run on a large playing field that we found by chance on our way to Banbury .. we did this everyday whilst there because we love our dogs and want them to have the exercise that they are used to ..walking up and down a grass verge may pacify some dogs but it's not enough for mine. Would I visit again...No simply because of the lack of dog walking facilities.. if you don't own a dog or have one that doesn't require very much exercise then you are OK ...
