We keep returning - what better recommendation !

The site is a bit difficult to find first time - you have go past all the holiday cottages and barns. A couple of reviews have commented of the difficulty of access to the only water tap for a motorhome. I have solved that problem at this and other sites by always carrying a number of hose pipes which do not take up too much storage space in the van and can be connected up to reach to the tap from any of the pitches. Some people have previously commented that the walk to the beach is longer than you would expect. There is now a shorter route - turn left out of the CL enclosure and follow a track around the back of the barns and then left again along another track which brings you to the edge of the dunes and round to the right to where the owners have installed a gate you can go through and scramble up a short bank into the dunes and on to the beach. The Joiners Arms in High Newton- 15 to 20 minutes walk - serves good food and has quite a few tables outside - worth a visit.
