Well, what can I say about about this stunning little site? It is just wonderful and we’ve had a glorious few nights away this weekend. Honestly, I cannot praise this CL site enough. Tucked away just above Old Town, Hebden Bridge, the site has five pitches, three hard standing and two grassed. All have power points close to the pitches and a fresh water point by the entrance / exit. The only toilet and shower facility is excellent too, set just against the farm and a thirty second walk from the pitches. We never had to wait, it was always superbly clean and with an electric shower, the hot water cannot run out. The site was full on Saturday evening, but oh so peaceful with views across the Calder Valley to die for. With an excellent Country Pub within 10 minutes walk (Hare & Hounds - try the steak pie), you cannot be better placed to explore Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall and Shibden Hall. The staff are just superb, informative and helpful. With a fee of only £20 a night, it’s excellent value too. We will be back in the spring and are already looking forward to it. As a bit of advice, plan your route to the site from the A6033, using the large turning area to hang a right at The Toll House onto Ackroyd Lane towards Old Town & the site. Our Sat Nasty decided to send us up the Valley ‘direct’ …. A bit daunting !!!
