A beautifully located well maintained site but our visit was marred by problems with access. We booked by phone and were asked to call at the shop in Rhyader to pay on our way to the site. As we didn't see the shop on the way through we decided to go on to the site and return in the car once we had pitched.We were not made aware either on the website or when booking that we needed a code to gain access. Neither were the two motor homes which were also waiting. The owner arrived after about 40 minutes and did not express any regret for our inconvenience in fact, quite the opposite. The 8 digit access number was difficult to input in the rain and the dark, and after paying £20 for the pitch which included access to a TV point it was quite irritating for us(and our neighbours on site), to find our connector was not compatible and we had to return to the shop to BUY an adaptor! Lovely site, very poor customer service. We did not find any recycling bins.
