A Real Gem

We stayed here for a week 12th Sept - 19th Sept. It was beautiful. upon arrival we were met by the owner Graham, who was very helpful. The facilities were great all very clean, toilets, showers, washing up point, dog walk, recycling etc. All you can see from the site are fields it is lovely. There is a train line behind the site but we really didn't notice it ( I think they run 1 an hour and usually 2 coaches long) Would recommend this site and will definitely be returning

just perfect

We have just spent 8 nights (wish it could have been longer) on this site, the title sums it up completely, Graham and Andrea made us feel very welcome & were very friendly, the pitches were large and well maintained, the facilities were excellent and the view was wonderful, such a serene and peaceful site, we cannot wait to go again.

2 night stay in July 2015

Couldn't fault this site.  Well laid out and great facilities. The owners were very friendly and recommended places to visit. Very quiet at night (when the trains stopped). Hope to be back.

Motorhome Review

What a well run site. It makes such a difference when the owner is a caravaner. The welcome was wonderful, the facilities (for a CL) were spotless, pitches all serviced and grass cut. Our initial minor problem was with the nearby train line, but as they only pass about 1hr apart, they were not overly intrusive, and in any event, after a certain time in the evening - stopped, to give us a very quiet nights sleep. Would use this site again.

Perfect rural retreat with very good facilities

We stayed here for three nights in June in our motorhome. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our pitch by Mr Colwill, the owner. The sanitation facilities were first class and the pitch sizes were ample. We walked into Shaftesbury from the site (but ask for route guidance to avoid climbing over locked gates or exiting Kingsettle Wood onto the A350).

Well organised CL

We stayed for a couple of nights on our way to Cornwall.  The site was very neat and tidy.  The showers and toilets were also spotless and the washing up sink very handy.  There was no one there when we arrived but we were left instructions and a pitch number.  Will use again.

Lovely peaceful site

We have recently returned from a week's stay at this lovely CL. Everything everyone says is spot on, the pitches are large and level, the facilities spotless and the scenery wonderful. We did see deer and foxes and the birdsong was beautiful. We didn't want to leave.

Wow what a find.Perfect in every way

I cannot praise Graham and Andrea enough for developing what we consider to be the best CL we have visited in our 30 years as club members. From the immaculately kept toilets and showers to the plastic bags provided for your waste rubbish and spares in reception if you have forgotten anything such as your picnic chairs! It is truly wonderful. The pitches are enormous each divided with a small hedge. There is access through their fields (Graham has mown a grass track through them to follow so you don't get lost) to Kingsettle Woods which are beautiful. From there you can walk into Shaftesbury, about an hour's walk in total. There are also paths to Motcombe and Semley (nice pub here), both about 30 mins walk. If you are lucky you may see the deer come out of the woods, you will certainly hear the array of song birds and the resident owl which was an absolute pleasure. All in all it was bliss and a wonderful place to recharge your batteries. Thank you Graham and Andrea .

This site is a hidden gem!

We've just returned from a 4 night break from Lower Liston Farm CL. I cannot overstate how pleased we were with this site. Graham and Andrea were our hosts exeptional well organised very clean site and wonderful ongoing welcome throughout our stay! The toilet/shower block is a delight! Fantastic views over rolling north Dorset hills! Multiple water stands throughout on huge, level individual grass pitches! We will go back for sure! I recommend this CL as 5 star! (Only 5 miles from the A303 for those travelling to the southwest..)
