Site of the Year??????????

We are approaching our 50th married year and honeymooned at Nolton Haven so it was time to revisit, and what a site we picked. When I phoned, Jane could not accomodate us for the week we wanted so we took what was offered and boy are we glad we did. This site is immaculate is every respect. The gated entrance, the lawns, the toilets/showers but most of all the greeting from Jane and Ray. It was as though we had known them for years. The other reviews led us to the site and if it doesn't win best site we will be amazed. It's a true gem. Loads of places to see, loads of memories ( well those we can remember from 50 years ago) a brtilliant brilliant addition to the club. A big highlight is the pub The Olde Inn. We had a sunday lunch, boy were we stuffed! My only complaint is that their yorkshires are almost as good as ours. Great beer, great food great company. All this for ÂŁ15 a night serviced pitch. Come on Club, match that if you can.

Perhaps the best!

We visited in August. Lovely wide entrance to this CL with plenty of room to get your whole unit off the road whilst you open the gate. All hard standing with water and 16A EHU to each pitch. All 5 pitches are a good size and level...ish. We experienced a whole day of "impressive" torrential weather but no issue with the site. Very quiet site in the country with a slow moving minor road running next to it - a bit of traffic during peak times but didn't generally notice it. The owners were very pleasant, helpful and well humoured. Toilet and shower facilities are new and immaculate although we showered in the van as connected to water mains. Situated within a few yards of (no noise heard at night) to a nice old country pub with good drinks and food - the Sunday lunch was gorgeous and very reasonably priced. The locals were very jovial and sociable. Note that the pub serves food according to demand - no bookings may mean no food - book ahead to confirm availability. We will be visiting again in order to explore the local area and coast more. One of the best well thought out, well maintained sites. Highly recommended.

Could not have been better!

What a wonderful holiday we have spent at this beautiful Cl owned by Jane and Ray . From the welcome on the day that we arrived to the day that we left everything was first class. The toilets and Shower facilities were second to none ( much better than most caravan club sites) . Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts , they even supplied a pack to each camper full of information about the area, things to do , Pub Menus and directions for all the amenities of the area . We loved it, and will certainly be back in the future. Thank you Jane and Ray.

Amazing CL

What can we say. Probably the best CL we have stayed on. Great welcome from Ray and Jane who are lovely hosts. They keep the site immaculately clean and it is so peaceful and in a perfect place for seeing all of Pembrokeshire. Just spent 2 amazing weeks there and wished we had 2 more weeks to stay. Will be going back asap. Thank you Ray and Jane for helping to make our stay just fantastic.

Marylands - wonderful

To review this CL all I need to say is book a pitch now! The owners have worked hard to design a CL that works well and creates a friendly atmosphere. The gates are set back, so you can fully pull your cavarvan /motorhome off of the road before opening the gates, which have hooks to hold them open. There are five large, level gravel pitches that are large enough for caravan, awning and car to sit side by side. The areas between the pitches are grass which the owner maintains like a lawn. All pitches have views over the surrounding fields and woods where you can watch buzzards and red kites soaring overhead. The bins and elsan point are discreetly fenced off in one area and there are a couple of picnic tables for people to use. This CL also has a toilet and shower room which were kept immaculately clean everyday. Jane & Ray provide a welcome folder on arrival with local eateries (menus) and places to visit but also the important phone numbers for vets etc. A lot of thought has gone into the running of this CL and I won't be surprised if they are awarded CL of the year soon. We will return as soon as the five hour tow across the country allows us to. Our thanks go to Jane and Ray for having the forethought to design and maintain a very special place.

Pristine CL

Just spent a week with Ray & Jane at their CL. The hard standings are huge, plenty of room for caravan, awning and car, no need for blocks as they are level, testament to the groundworks done when constructing the bays. The facilities are kept immaculately clean, separate toilet and large shower in adjacent room, also with toilet. Cannot praise this remarkable CL enough, only problem is it is a 7 hour drive from home. Ideally located for visiting the whole of the South Pembroke peninsular.

Great site for exploring Pembrokeshire

A lovely friendly, clean, quiet and well ordered site with spacious pitches. Our dogs loved the freedom of being off lead in the the secure dog run. The perfect rural site for exploring Pembrokeshire with the convenience of nearby shopping in Haverfordwest. We got a warm welcome in the pub next door and the food was good too. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and thoroughly recommend to others.

The site that raised the CL standards

We have spent the most fabulous week on this amazing CL that is perfect in every way, other reviewers have written about the spacious pitches, immaculate showers and toilets, the flower beds and trees, Super dog walk and local wild life. What we were also impressed with was the amount of thought that had gone into the layout of the site, the quality of the materials used in the construction of all aspects of it and the high standard of build quality. This site must surely be one of the best CLs in the club, if not the best. From the greeting on our arrival, the welcome pack the information we were given of the local area and the care of the site, the grass was mown twice while we were there and the cuttings collected, leaving a lawn I would be proud of, all were faultless, This site is at a standard I have not seen before, one all CLs no doubt would aspire to. Our visits to Pembrokeshire from now on will be spent at Marylands, it is great value for money and located in a convenient location to visit the local beauty spots. My vote for CL of the year will be used here. Bob & Carol.

Peaceful site, perfect for dogs and for us!

We were so pleased to have chosen this CL to continue our break after attending the National Rally. Beautifully kept site, spotlessly clean, heated shower room. Plenty of space for car, caravan and awning. Even the recycling area was sparkling. The owners were very understanding when we had to reduce our stay from 6 to 5 nights. The enclosed dog walking area suited us perfectly as we have a very adventurous Lurcher (Mad Mabel) and we could let her off lead without worrying. A welcome pack of suggestions where to visit and to eat was provided. The local pub was a little odd as we turned up for dinner one evening at 8.30 (advertised as cooking 6-9 Thurs, Fri & Sat) to be told that the kitchen had closed and we did notice that on the day of the football final they were only doing food from 4-7pm!!! Guess the owner wanted to watch the footie! We tried several places to eat and in our opinion by far the best was the Druidstone Hotel - a beautiful clifftop setting, quirky decor and superb gardens with lots of little areas to sit and eat or drink. The food was top notch and something different and welcome from the usual pub fare. The Swan at Little Haven was excellent for fish and very Lurcher friendly!!! Going a little further afield - the Mor seafood van at Freshwater West was an eco-friendly, solar powered van selling hot crab or lobster rolls with their own seaweed based ketchups and sauces, lots of veggie and vegan options too. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay and if it wasn't an 8 hour drive we'd be back next month. Hope to return later in the year. Thank you.

Wonderful Site

We have recently spent 2 weeks at Marylands and cannot fault it. The pitches are large enough for the car, the caravan and a full awning with room to walk out on the gravel. The bird life is extensive and the local Red Kite circling the CL was a special treat. Ray has filled tubs and planters all over the site and it will surely be fabulous when all the flowers bloom. We know and love this part of Pembrokeshire and this is the very best place we have found to stay when visiting - we will be back I"m sure. Gill and Gordon, Derby
