Peaceful, helpful, enjoyable!

Our second time at this lovely CL, for a long weekend. The field is well kept, with ehu, water, waste disposal and recycling bin. There’s a lovely dog walk just through the gate. Claire & Chris are friendly and very helpful - I’d forgotten the tickets for the event we were going to, but they printed them off for us. If you fancy a peaceful break, with beautiful goats, alpacas and hens for company, this is the perfect place!

Great CL with lovely owners!

Messuage farm cl review. May 2018. If the Caravan Club ever invent an award for the nicest CL owners, these Guys have got it made!. The site itself is flat and well sheltered, grass cut short and collected, and all kept extremely tidy. There is a strange pitch marking system, where you pitch between the numbers, not on them, so some people pitch a bit randomly. But there is a lot of choice, and plenty of space between pitches, with a huge gravelled yard if you want hard standing, and more electric hook up points than I have ever seen at any CL. The water supply is indoors, and the Elsan point is very handy and well set out with a rinse pipe and even a little ledge to put the cassette lid on safely!! There is a long dog walk, and a (human)! toilet available for a small extra payment. Lot's to see around the place, goats, chickens etc etc but they are kept off the pitching areas. The photos don't really do the place justice. It's a very good area for cycling from, with little lanes all around, and lots to see. All in all a lovely CL we hope to return to.

Enjoyable stay.

Just had a 5 night stay here, a warm welcome on arrival . After a wet start to April 2018 we opted to leave the caravan on the edge of the hard standing and put the Awning on the grass. The site has wide entrance so access was easy onto site. Good size field with well spaced pitches. Access to fresh water is in a shed, which is handy when it’s raining. Waste points close by. The site was very peaceful . You can see a variety of farm animals chickens on the site too. There is an excellent 1.68 mile circular all weather path around the fields for dog walking or just to keep fit. Good local walks from site, and a short drive there are a few National Trust properties to visit and pleasant walks along the Macclesfield canal and it’s flight of locks near Bosley. I can recommend this clean and tidy site for a nice quiet relaxing stay. PS Only gave 3* ease of arrival as the approach road was closed due to roadworks and diverted onto narrow lanes .

Enjoyed Our Short Stay

The owners were very helpful, one of them coming out to meet us on our arrival, and giving us instructions on where everything was located and the choice of where we could put the van. We really enjoyed our stay on the site, watching the birds in the nearby hedge and listening to the owls at night. The path around the nearby fields provided a lovely walk along the hedges and past a pond and spinney where we watched the rabbits. Unusually, the water tap is situated inside one of the barns so in wet weather there is no need to stand in the rain waiting for the aquaroll to fill.

Great place to stay!

Very easy to rate this one, the owner is a pleasure to deal with and very friendly, the site is very nice although only one toilet so we used our own. but only 5 or so pitches so it would be fine. The views are great and there is a great walk close by. Near Jodrell Bank nearest towns about 6 miles away, I really enjoy staying here definitely will be coming back whenever I am in the area!

Our Favourite CL

This is our very favourite "Go To Site" . For the last 3 years we have visited Messuage Farm about 8 times a year as we have elderly relatives nearby. It is a simple but beautifully maintained site with a choice of bowling green standard grass pitch or hardstanding during wet weather so it is perfect for any time of the year. Lovely friendly and helpful owners. The dog walk is exceptional as there is a proper path around the farm fields so no mud trodden back into the van. We are just 2 of the site's many repeat visitors.

Wonderful

We have visited twice now and will be returning. It isn't far from home and is gem of a site. Absolutely no traffic noise as the Country lane is rarely used, very well kept, fantastic dog walk around the fields and lovely to see the goats and hens so well cared for. Pitches are flat and very spacious and the hook up is good TV reception, phone signal and mobile wifi is excellent Owners very friendly and leave you to it At £12 a night this is an absolute bargain Visited the nearby arboretum with the dogs had an excellent Chinese takeaway from the forum restaurant in congleton on the Friday then nipped to Alderley Edge on the Saturday to a lovely little patisserie, an outstanding Lebanese restaurant for lunch then bought food back from Waitrose so all in all a great weekend

Family motorhome break

This is a beautiful and immaculately kept site within 5 mins of Holmes Chapel and Jodrell Bank and probably 20 minutes from Knutsford. It is family run, very friendly site and is a working farm ideal for the younger ones with friendly goats, chickens and alpacas. There is a lovely 2 mile walk on a well kept track around the perimeter of the farm which is great to walk off your dinner or an early morning walk to see all the fantastic wildlife. We will be back again soon - thanks for a great weekend.

Brilliant!

Lovely site, the picture does not do it justice. A very warm welcome on arrival. Quite a contrast to the caravan club site we went on to the following day when we were shouted at on arrival. Dog walk was unbelievable, a solid path with lovely views. Enjoyed it so much we changed our holiday arrangements to come back for 2 days at the end of our holiday. The Goat meat that they rear and sell was lovely too. We also visited Jodrell Bank which was very near and most enjoyable. Look forward to future visits.
