Ease of arrival/welcome

Great place to stay.

We have stayed here a couple of times and have always found a good welcome to a very well kept site. The actual site is far enough away from the road that you rarely hear any traffic noise. Castle Douglas is just a short drive away where there are some good places to both shop and eat. Oh and to buy a bottle of the water of life at the whisky shop if you so desire. Dumfries is a little further away in the opposite direction if you want somewhere a bit more "big townish" but parking can sometimes be a bit difficult. This is a good site from which to go out for the day to places of interest, one of which is the Red Kyte centre which is especially interesting a feeding times, but if you want photo's you will need to be very quich with your camera.
