Love the board allocating your pitch the map that Heather gives you is very good for the area, Heather is a very warm and welcoming person love the social distance bat 😂 The site is immaculate nice walk into the village and to the canal had breakfast and lunch at the Tudor pub/restaurant was lovely and staff were lovely. This site is well worth visit and next time would love to stay longer

One night stop

Stayed here for 1 night on our way down to Cornwall. Well laid out with a message board advising which pitch you are on, later in the afternoon Heather came round to introduce herself, very friendly and informative with details of waste and chemical disposal, she also left a map with all the local pubs and places of interest. A fairly narrow lane to approach the site, with the farmhouse on the right hand side with the site itself on the left opposite the actual farm entrance. We will be back again no doubt when we have the call (very soon) to visit the south west area again.

Absolute gem of a site

We used this site as a stopover on the way down to Cornwall and were that impressed we used it again on the way back. Have previously stayed at a much larger site close by but never again having been on this site. It was fantastic! Friendly owner, great idea of the blackboard telling you your pitch number on arrival, fantastic facilities with really well spaced out pitches plus the added bonus of an on site dog area situated away from the pitches. No charge for the dogs either! Lovely walks from the site to the the nearby canal, lovely village atmpsphere with the added bonus of supporting the local farming community! Will definately be staying again when going down south. Very highly reccommended.

ideal stopover but well worth a longer stay

Spent 5 nights here in late july on route to cornwall. Excellent site with very pleasant helpful owner. Just off the motorway so good stopover site but well worth a longer stay, so much to do in the area we will be back.

Oasis of calm

Moorend Farm is a really well laid out site and very well maintained. We were impressed with the blackboard directing us to which pitches were available and the subsequent welcome from Heather. Superb waste and recycling facilities and well stocked information box. Well positioned not far from M5 with just a little noise if the wind was in the right direction - however this didn’t bother us greatly. Located within easy reach of attractions such as the Sharpness to Gloucester canal, Slimbridge, Gloucester, Stroud and National Trust properties. A five star site which we can thoroughly recommend.

Excellent CL site Overnight Stopover

This is a very clean and tidy CL site which is a convenient stopover heading up or down the M5, having that said, wonderful walks along the canal at Shepherds Patch. Peter Scott’s legacy lives on at the Slimbridge Wetland Centre,so lots to see and worth staying at Moorend Farm a few extra nights. Only 3* for the ease of arrival as it is quite a tight turn into entrance gate with a large caravan. Thank you Mrs Smith for another peaceful stay.

Easter break

What a good week we had, very well laid out site, as you would expect, normal every day noise of a working farm. Noise was minimal the odd farm machinery moving from field to field. But this is what you expect in the country. This did not bother us at all. I must add, it was nice to hear the sounds of other people working & me just chillin!! Very impressed with Moorend Farm CL. We will be back for a stay when our work schedule permits. Thanks Heather for your top class welcome!

Great stay

Spent our first two nights as new caravanners at this lovely CL. We were made very welcome by the owner and found it easy to find and set up. Waste area was very handy and nicely laid out. Our two Yorkies enjoyed their walks around the country lanes and we enjoyed our visit to nearby Epney where we saw some surfers on the Severn bore. Good timing! We would definitely visit again and thoroughly recommend it.

Good Location

We wanted a CL about an hour's drive from home on a Friday evening, easy to get to, close to the M5, with a hardstanding and a peaceful environment for a quiet night. We got all this at Moorend. We stayed for just one night as planned, on our way north, but will be back for a weekend as the area has much to offer. Slimbridge Wetland Centre is within walking distance and Woodchester Mansion near Stroud was a 25min easy drive for our Saturday morning visit. The site is well maintained, flat and with the grass kept short. It felt private and there was only the slightest road hum from the M5 a mile or so away. The facilities were what we expected and we will have no hesitation in returning.
