An enjoyable stay

A lovely flat, well drained field, surrounded by high hedges, cascades of wild roses and red kites! Even though we endured rain of biblical proportions, there was no problem at all with the ground. The facilities are the basic minimum but are well kept and clean. Access to places of interest is easy either by car or the bus, which stops almost outside the gates. The main road does cause some noise during the day, but it is very quiet at night. The close proximity of the main road does mean that the site is very easy to find and access. A caravan club sign outside the main gate would be helpful. There is one inside the gates but by the time we saw it, we had gone by and we then had to back up on what proved to be a busy road. Reg, the manager is very helpful and full of local information. The two commercial sites adjacent to the CL did not cause any problems to us, the CL is tucked round behind them. We spent a week there, and had a very enjoyable time.
