Not the Best CL

We had a good couple of days at Whitehouse farm as we have two young children (3 & 4). The CL was somewhat disapointing. The site is very small so thankfully we did nt want to put our awning up for the two nights. The ground is hard standing but has clearly been neglected and in dire need of a few hours spent on it to generally tidy it up. There is a road which runs through the middle of the CL and although not used that much it did have commercial vehicles (from adjacent industial unit) passing through. I feel that this CL runs the risk of falling below the acceptable standard for the CC. On the saturday evening a car pulled up on the site directly in front of the water/waste point. A man got out wearing camouflage suit and carrying a large rifle with telepscopic sight (not an air rilfe). Whilst we appreciate that shooting may be part of country life, there were plenty of other places to park in order to gain access to the fields. In any case he was only in the field for about ten minutes. This is not what we have come to expect from the club CLs. We were given a substancial discount on our entrance to the farm as we were staying on the CL and we are grateful for that. Would we stay again? No I dont think so and I would invite the CC to inspect and to require that the site be kept to a better standard and made safer.
