Pretty site

We echo all the positive reviews about this site. Two large level hard standings plus a very large and attractive grass field. Recycling provided. Simple and quick access from A14. There is some traffic noise as expected from the A14 hence our slightly lower rating for peace and tranquillity but don’t let this stop you enjoying a lovely site. Very helpful owners.

Just what we needed

Thank - you for a very pleasant stay. Tony and Frances couldn't have made us more welcome. The site has large grass plots and 2 smashing hard standings. It was just the place to unwind and Tony's model railway was the icing on the cake. Thanks once again hope to be back next year.

Delightful site Friendly Welcome

Our first CL made a great stop on our way to Essex and enabled us to visit friends in Kettering. Great access to A14 so efficient use of time also. Will be back.

Hidden Gem

This is an absolutely brilliant little site, Tony and Frances are so friendly and welcoming. They brought their lovely donkeys down to see the children and they were able to walk and brush them. Then later on they were allowed to feed the alpacas. The children had such a good weekend, there’s so much space to play and go for little adventures. We will most definitely be returning soon, I really can’t recommend this place enough.

Well maintained & a lovely welcome

This site is well kept & Tony & Frances are welcoming & helpful. There’s a lovely dog walk & alpacas & donkeys in the fields around. The recycling is well set up, as is the water & the Elsan disposal. Unfortunately we didn’t realise that the noise from the A14 would be constant, day & night. Our mistake & certainly the owners had done everything they could with planting to reduce the noise but we are from a very peaceful area & found the noise most intrusive, as I say, our mistake, certainly nothing Tony & Frances could have done. The site is an absolute credit to the owners & they do everything possible to make your stay pleasant, just too near a very busy road for us.

Wonderful little spot for both couples and families oh and dogs too :-)

We have stayed here a couple of times now and its just wonderful. The owners Frances and Tony are so lovely and welcoming, our names are always on the welcome board when we arrive which is a lovely touch and they always greet us, even when late arrival. We have two children (13 &8) and our son who is 13 and a eager wannabe farmer was always welcome to follow Tony around (within reason) when he was tending to the sheep. They have alpacas and donkeys too and the children were invited to help feed them both which they absolutely loved. There is a big field on site which you are welcome to walk your dogs all around :-) Very well organised, tidy, well maintained and kept - Its wonderful and we can highly recommend!

Fantastic CL with easy access to the A14

Just had a lovely couple of nights at this CL. Booking was very easy, and we had great communication from the CL owners. It was lovely to be greeted in person on our arrival. The site is very pretty, just a little bit sloping on the grass pitches. Both hard standing pitches were flat. There is a superb dog walk on site, or you can venture off site towards Kettering, with only a small section on the lane then follow footpaths into town.

Our first CL visit

Our first visit to a CL was this one last week on our way to Norfolk and here we are again today on the return journey! It’s a lovely little site, beautifully maintained and positioned. Peaceful, although there is some noise from the A14 but it didn’t bother us. Tony and Frances are very welcoming and checked that everything was ok during our visit. We loved the alpacas and also just had to buy a second jar of Frances’s homemade Rhubarb and Ginger Jam- so yummy! Btw our Aguri Satnav instructions were correct!

Relaxing site

A beautiful site with a tranquil air that offers plenty of space between pitches. Well manicured grass and two hard standings are available with a quite secluded aspect. EHU adjacent, (10 amps), and water nearby. Elsan (Organic fluid only) and grey water not too far away in farm yard. You need to lift the wastemaster up to empty it so don't leave it too long if have trouble lifting. There's some road noise from the A14 but we didn't find it intrusive and certainly didn't notice it overnight. Directions in handbook and on website are excellent. The last 300 metres is single track so don't do as we did and arrive early. Apologies to the member who had to reverse. (We had cleared early arrival with the landowner.) The farm lane is easily accessed but owners of wider units need to take care to avoid some over hanging trees, just keep in the middle. Exceeding the beauty and tranquility of the site was the welcome and concern that we were happy. We hope to return.

Friendly hidden gem

This CL is so local to us we had never tried it - what a mistake ! We were looking for somewhere close to home to book two pitches to transfer everything from our old caravan to the new and to check everything out. From our very first contact everything was so friendly and accommodating - even sending an aerial shot of the site so we could see how far apart they were. The site is lovely with lots of small touches - the pots of flowers, the small solar lights - the home made jams, local knowledge etc. Nothing was too Much trouble for the owners The pitch area is very large with lots of space with walks straight off the site. The access from the a14 is good - there is some Road noise occasionally but it is very much background - town, shops , supermarkets are all within few minutes drive - yet the surroundings etc make you feel you are in the middle of nowhere. We’ll definitely be back
