We had 2 nights here just before May day. The site is away from noisy A roads and is peaceful apart from the usual farm noises ,but that's what CL sites are all about. The owners are really friendly and the site is beautifully kept. Access to York is excellent and if you're popping there for the day I'd recommend catching the train from Poppleton. It's only a couple of miles from the site and has free parking for 12 cars for the day followed by a 5 or 6 min train ride to York. We got a duo ticket for £5.70 for the two of us return. Be aware that the published price is £16/night. That's now £18 but still good value.
