Roughly a mile outside Witton Gilbert and 5 miles from Durham this little CL is perched on the side of a hill looking out over the rolling hills. The owners are incredibly welcoming and go above and beyond to help you make the most of your stay. There is a lovely farm shop and Cafe 15 minutes walk away, two pubs a mile away and you can either cycle into Durham or drive to the park and ride - well worth a visit. Lots of lovely walking from the doorstep and if you are lucky you may even get some eggs! We are a large (8.5m) motorhome and access was easy but pitches are sloping so most people would want some kind of Levelling solution. We will be back.
