We were the first official guests on this fantastic new CL and received a lovely friendly welcome from the owners David and Sam. The site is flat and well laid out with loads of room between pitches. The pitches are currently of good quality grass and when we arrived although there had just been 2 weeks of rain the ground was in excellent condition and well drained. Hard standing pitches are planned for 2020 to enable all year round opening. Lovely field and woodland views and very peaceful but as this is a working farm you can occasionally hear farm vehicles. There is a bus stop just 40 metres from the entrance of the site which will take you into York if you don't wish to drive, plus there are many places to visit in the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and felt totally relaxed from the moment we arrived, so much so we have booked another two separate weeks and cannot wait to return.
