We stayed at Old Sorbie School CL for 3 nights in late August. This is a superb base for exploring the Dumfries and Galloway area - a real credit to its owners Sue and Les. The site is simply immaculate. All pitches are Hard Standing with individual EHUs and fresh water, and offer beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Nose-in parking, if you have a mover, allows full benefit of these, and is not an issue. Full, modern facilities (2 x loos, 2 x showers, full wash-up facilities) are on offer in the old school building itself and are welcoming and scrupulously clean. Owners Sue and Les are friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic - this CL is clearly a Labour of Love to them! One point to be aware of is that access to the site is via a steep-ish ramp. This shouldn't be an issue gor most outfits, but just take extra caution if you have a particularly long caravan or A-Class Motorhome. We will definitely be returning!
