We spent 3 nights here towards the end of August. We didn't see any of the animal wildlife but the birds made up for it. Flocks of swallows swooped over the field beyond the site, more sparrows than I've ever seen together twittered along the wall and the hedgerow while dozens of goldfinches fed on the thistles in the field. Several robins appeared on the wall and a couple of buzzards flew over, too. We spent quite a bit of time watching them all and enjoying the peace and quiet. Oh, and the site was smart and well-organised, Sue was friendly and helpful and the facilties were more luxurious than many people have at home!
