Ease of arrival/welcome

First Guest review.

5 Miles from the Main A77 roundabout at Ayr Whitletts the drive there was easy, good roads & a wide access from the B730. When we arrived Ian led us to the Pitches, being the First Club members to use the site we had a choice, so we chose "Arran" (all the Pitches have great views). All the Pitches are flat but not level this is on Ian's todo list... After setting the Motorhome up and putting the Kettle on for a Cuppa, Cate arrived to say Hello, we had a good old chat about the site and they wanted to know what improvements & facilities Motorhomers & Caravaners would like, they are really receptive to feedback. After that I suggested that if they wanted to they could pop up for a celebratory Glass of Champers which turned out to be a real hoot as another couple arrived later on & turns out we all had so much in common... The Facilities are all NEW.. Loved the Horse box conversion, great Idea.. Lots of Little walks for kids round the Orchard.. I really liked the fact that the sites Views over Ayr also lie in line with the Flight path for Arrivals & Departures to Prestwick Airport, being a Plane geek this was Brill, 2 x C17 Globemasters & 2 C130J Hercules aircraft (1 doing Stop-n-Goes). Also worthy of note is the wildlife, several Raptors, Gold finches flying about, Deer & Badgers reported to be visitors to the site. There is a Gardening Nursery within walking distance which has a large selection of plants. If you don't fancy cooking in the morning there is a Hot filled Roll menu, orders need to be in by 8PM though! I can honestly say "I will be back !!!" Also going to book a pitch for the Orchards Apple picking & Juicing session... Congratulations & Thank you to Ian & Cate for a Great Site, looking forward to coming again.
