Lovely CL

We always struggle to find CLs open in the winter and very pleased we found this one. Lovely views and very quiet. We are walkers so we walked into Saltburn and then walked the back to Redcar and back - about 18 miles in all. Saltburn is about a 3 1/2 mile walk and there are various routes. We went through the Tees Valley nature reserve which was a lovely walk. The Cleveland way is very close too. If you are walkers this is a great location. Access was easy enough, and Katherine the owner came out to greet us and open the gate etc which was really nice of her. The facilities are better than most CLs - The Chemical Toilet area is excellent and lovely and clean and tidy. In fact it's better than some club sites. The fresh water pipe was well insulated and centrally located. EHU was 10Amp which is more than enough for our needs. There were both normal and recycling bins. There is one hardstanding pitch which we used but the grass was very stable. We struggled a little with TV signal - couldn't get BBC - But with the lovely views of the valley and the sea the TV wasn't the priority for us. Im sure if we moved the van we could have got a signal if we had tried harder. Nothing not to like at all about this charming CL. Thank you Katherine.
