First Rate CL, well located.

Building on the previous reviews and bringing the information up to date. We visited the site the last week of August 2013 and were lucky with the warm weather. The site is first class, with well kept surroundings, with hardstandings for the wheels of the caravan, surrounded by grass. About 10 amps for power but with easy access to the reset button if tripped by accident. Toilet block with two basins and two toilets, which are kept clean, electric hand dryer also in this area. Small information area with many leaflets for local attractions. B & B at main house which looks very nice, lovely Tea Rooms with inside and outside space, this is well kept, with drinks, light meals and homemade cakes on sale. 2 mile walk through Jervaux Abbey estate, 6.5 mile level walk along both banks of nearby river, leaflet at tea rooms, 1.5 mile walk along river to Cover Arms, which is also half way around the longer walk, great for meals snacks and good ales. Lots to see in the area with towns such as Masham, Bedale, Middleham (castle), Ripon (great market) and the Yorkshire Dales on the doorstep. If you are willing to use your own shower then this site is one of the best, large field for none electric pitches.
