We have been using this CL for the last 10 years and we love it. Most years we are here several times a year. The CL is under trees beside a brook and is almost invisible from the road. Very little road noise is heard due to the trees and stone wall screening the site from the road though. Booking in is over the road at the chalet reception but this is open all day so no problem at all. Motorhomers would need either a very long hose or containers to carry water in as the tap is a little remote from the pitches. Same applies for your waste water. There are superb recycling facilities on site or down the road in Glenridding main car park. There are walks in every direction from the site, both low and high level so what ever your ability you will not be bored. You can also get a good meal in The White LIon pub in Patterdale if you dont fancy cooking. Definatly one we will keep returning to again and again.
