Having stayed here before we had no problem finding the site and pitching. If you do zoom past it from the Glenridding direction, there is a handy layby to turn around! The pitches ARE a little small but we have a motorhome and no awning so it was fine - if you have a giant awning you've no chance! You wont get any satellite reception as it's very wooded, so this site is great for getting away from everything. The road is fairly close but is not busy in the evening. A great location for long or short walks, and ideal for climbing Helvellyn (past us I'm afraid!). We had a nice meal at the White lion Inn pub in Patterdale - nice food and much cheaper than the pubs and restaurants in Glenridding. This will be one of our regulars in the lakes.
