If Carlsberg did CLs....

We've just returned from four nights on this lovely CL. Firstly, it was great to be able to book and pay online via their website; this made it much easier when compared to some CLs, when voicemails often aren't returned. On arrival we pitched up and the check-in with the owners was very easy. They provided a very comprehensive pack of tourist information. They were very welcoming and available if help was needed, but discrete if you preferred solitude. The pitches are excellent; all hardstanding with loads of room and each one with it's own fresh water tap and grey water waste drain, plus electric hook up. With great views from every pitch, we were able to witness great sunrises and sunsets from our van. The grounds are immaculately kept. The rubbish and toilet emptying service point was well marked and right next to the CL. We particularly liked the herb garden, with a note in the pack to help ourselves when cooking - we did! A strong WiFi signal on all pitches was also a real blessing; we needed to stay in touch with our solicitor during a house moving process and this made it really easy for us. There was also an excellent shower close by the main site; plenty of hot water and very clean at all times. There's also dog walking area on the site; I noticed poop bags and a bin were also provided - what a great additional touch. The location is good - on Anglesey nowhere is very far away. It's only a few minutes from J3 of the A55 and adjacent to RAF Valley, so there is some aircraft noise during the day, although the first flight isn't normally until 0800, but it's great if you're interested in aircraft. There's a 15-20 walk to the beach from the CL (with a hotel on the way with a bar and food, although we didn't try it). We walked along the beach to Rhosneigr, crossing the river footbridge on the coastal path. There's plenty of places to eat and drink in the village. This CL is also close to Holyhead, so ideal if you need to catch a ferry to Ireland, or are returning and want to stop off. The facilities and additional touches are excellent, combined with a personal but discrete service from the owners. Although not the cheapest CL we've stayed on, we nevertheless thought it was great value for money and just what we were looking for. On our last day Catherine stopped by to see if we'd enjoyed our stay and said we could leave when ready; it was so nice not to be rushed off the pitch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
