I really like this L. It suits us perfectly and we have been there 4 times now. For some it might not be so perfect. Its very tranquil. A real get away from it all location. Beautiful scenery. Farmer is helpful and cheerfull. Leaves you to it and keeps out of the way. A real nice guy. Field is pretty big. Even if there were 20 vans they would be further apart than most CL’s The field varies. Earlier in the year it is left to grow long – maybe up to a foot of really beautiful meadow. I love this and my dog loves it. Some may not. Fine if dry. Wellies if wet!! After July cut it is short. Water point is fine. Only one in field so can be a little walk of maybe 100m for those furthest away. Chem point doesn’t have any rinse option so need to get some water from the water point which is 15m away. Lots of walks, and horse riding in the area. Shops are 20 mins away. Not as much to do as say Cornwall, but still plenty with a bit of travelling. Access is a couple of miles down lanes that are quite narrow in places, but there are no tight turns that would be a problem for longer vehicles. There are passing points but might have to reverse the odd time. Some CC’ers might not like that. If you’re the sort that likes to pull straight off main road into manicured site this probably isn’t you. If you like it wilder then you’ll love it. We do.
