A delightful CL located in a lovely part of Devon

A warm welcome you will receive from Mrs Tollett and her family. Site is very well cared for, shower and toilet facilities well kept and in excellent condition. Mrs Tollett has a wealth of local information of what to do in the area. Site is slightly sloping but pitches are large. Excellent views of the surrounding countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend a stay here whether it would be for a weekend break or for a longer stay.

Fab Site

We had a lovely stay on this CL site, the owners were really friendly and very welcoming with lots of useful information of places to go and visit, eat, shops etc.  The site was easy to use, the pitches were large so plenty of room to manoeuvre and set up, on a slight slope, but plenty of wood and concrete blocks available to adjust vans etc.  The view was beautiful to wake up to in the mornings and with the sunset.  The shower and toilet facilities were impeccable, the shower was beautifully hot and had all services you need for a comfortable stay.  Slight road noise, but this was nothing compared to living in a city, but also bare in mind it was the bank holiday weekend. Would highly recommend this site.

Fabulous site.

We were greeted by Mrs Toll who made us feel very welcome. She gave us lots of useful information about the local area, shops, pubs, restaurants and places of interest. The site is on a slope - we were previously made aware of this, and setting up was a bit of a challenge but we managed it!! The toilet and shower facility was excellent- spacious and very clean. Easy acces on and off the site. Great views.  Would thoroughly recommend this site. We had a great holiday here.

A wonderful weekend

What an amazing site! So glad we found it! Had a great weekend away, this site is a truly hidden gem, perfect location to explore the local area. We took our 2 Dalmatians who just love to explore & the field here certainly gave them the space to do just that. With just 5 pitches, this site is so peaceful, we didn't have any disturbance from the road alongside us. The shower facilities were spotless, lovely & fresh at all times. Certainly somewhere we will be booking again, thank you!!

Heaven in Devon

A lovely little site with great views across the hills. Very easy to find and set up, to get the ideal view from your van levelling blocks are required. Mrs Tollet made us very welcome and gave us lots of local info including directions to a farm shop and a great pub in the local village. The site is convenient for all the villages and resorts along this coast and the Donkey Sanctuary. We Will Return.

Lovely views

Nice views from all of the large pitches on this sloping site. We stayed some years ago, with a smaller caravan, and parked facing down the slope where blocks were needed under the front steadies and jockey wheel. With a longer van it's easier to park parallel where a few blocks are needed under one wheel. There is some road noise at certain times, but it didn't bother us. Nice, clean toilet/shower hut. Excellent base for walking and cycling. We stayed on a wet Bank Holiday weekend but the ground drained well. We'd stay again. Thank you.

Stress free week in Devon

Easily located site, warm, friendly welcome and outlook amazing! Shower and toilet adequate but was delighted we were the only caravan using it.  Facilities would not be adequate had there been 5 caravans and 1 in an additional paddock area. Mostly peaceful except for traffic am and pm busy times but that did not detract from the lovely location. Much enjoyed and would recommend good value for money.

Aug Bank Hol Weekend 2014

Arrived after 12 and were warmly welcomed by the owner who gave us a choice of two massive grass pitches. Water and electric were very close to the pitches which were slightly sloping (levelling blocks a must). Toilet and shower, which were down the drive to the house, were spotlessly clean. There was a big field adjacent to the site to walk the dogs in off lead. Visited Seaton, Beer and Branscombe and had a lovely walk through Salcombe Hill woods along the coastal path and watched the Red Arrows in the distance over Dawlish. Even managed to take our awning down before the rain came on Sunday night. There is a bit of road noise but its not intrusive. Will visit again.

Excellent Site

Beautiful site on high ground overlooking the valley. Toilet and shower of excellent quality and impeccably clean. Farm shop close by with extensive range of excellent produce. We stayed during the recent heatwave so had a wonderful stay. Very relaxed atmosphere. Hay had recently been cut in adjacent field so dog able to run free in this field with beautiful views down the valley (dogs on lead on campsite only). We had a wonderful stay and it seems churlish to find negatives, but my only negative comments would be that it is very close to the road and quite a sloping site. Normal road traffic is really not a problem, but the occasional heavy vehicle was quite noisy. The site is quite sloping so if if you are motorhomers you will probably need blocks.
