Disappointed

Recently returned from 5 nights on this site. On the plus side, if Cls were judged solely on their view this site would be among the top ones. Each pitch has EHU, a water tap and grey water disposal point and there is direct access onto Cefn Byrn. On the negative side the pitches have been elevated and access is by three narrow ramps. The layout of the pitches means that with a car, caravan and awning side by side there is not much outside space for BBQs etc. One pitch is side on the the others and one evening we had the front of a motorhome 9ft from our side windows. The upkeep of the site is poor. The toilets are shared with a wedding venue and for the whole of our stay a half empty beer glass and an empty beer bottle were in one of the ladies' WC, presumably from the last wedding. Paper remained strewn across the floor and several toilets had no toilet paper. The chemical toilet emptying manhole has no hosepipe to flush down resulting in solids building up in the corners and nettles are growing round the manhole. Of two rubbish bins, one had no lid resulting in animals raiding them at night, leaving rubbish on the floor. Nice location, but site in need of some attention.

We respect your review after your visit, but feel we must correct you on the points made.  Each pitch has its own access driveway,  so five in total if the caravan or motorhome is positioned correctly to the grey water, electrical hook up and tap this allows ample room for awning and car.   You also got the option of parking on your personal drive.  If you had high lighted the problem of the motorhome parked the wrong way was an issue to the quality of your stay, then we would have acted immediately.  As far as the statement of upkeep of sight is poor I take particular objection too, the toilets that you are referring too aren't even connected to the CL site YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IIN THERE, the chemical toilet emptying point, we expect caravan club members to be respectful to others and leave it in a clean and acceptable condition, it is AGAINST  our local enviromental policy of Swansea City Council to fit hose pipes too such taps.  In the countryside there is a strong population of foxes and badgers, household and caravan site bins get raided, the bins are emptied regularly and have lids what happened to the lid on this occasion I have not got the answer.  The site is mowed and strimmed twice a week where the mower can not get too then some weeds will grow we have an organic policy were herbisides are not used and I feel that I have no need to and will not apologize for the odd dock or nettle.  It is a shame you DID NOT have the decency to come and see us to discuss your concerns all of which could have been satissfied with a 5 minute conversation instead you decided to attack us personally through a key board, even though I asked you if everything was to your satisfaction
