A lovely site

Can't add any more than has already been written - a lovely site with very welcoming owners. Don't be put off by the lengthy list of do's and dont's, they are mostly just common sense - if not sure of anything just ask  There are also very friendly locals who will help you find the foot paths which are not always obvious  The local church is vibrant and offers coffee on Monday mornings - well worth a visit

A Fab mini break

The site was easy to find with good access. Nice friendly welcome, beautiful views and well placed for visiting the Saltaire festival, the reason for our mini break. The site has water and EHU on all pitches. Grey water disposal was very accessible for our motorhome. The toilet on the site is spotless. Will definitely visit again

Excellent value, excellent site

Once the tight entry has been negotiated, this is an excellent, quiet, well located site with many positives. Whilst the facilities are quite basic (but very well maintained), there is incredible value for money on this site. The owners are very keen to help and we will be back, without doubt.

Perfect first trip!

We have just returned from a weekend here (14th-16th August). From booking over the phone, to leaving today, Richard, the owner could not have been more accommodating. We are first time caravanners with a long twin axle caravan and apprehensive about our first trip. We gave Richard a call when we were a couple of minutes away, and he met us on the drive and guided us in. This lunchtime on leaving, he made sure he was around and guided us out as the access is a little tight! The site itself is lovely on a gentle slope, surrounded by fields with drinking water and EHU on each of the 5 pitches. There is also a chemical waste point, recycling and a spotlessly clean WC - and I mean spotless! We didn't do much in the area as we are fairly local and this was a practice trip, but it was lovely to relax in the peaceful environment. We took our two dogs and there are public footpaths and fields for walking the dogs.  It was a perfect introduction to caravanning for us, and we cannot thank the owners enough for their help. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this CL for anyone wishing to visit this area.

GOOD SITE FOR EXPLORING THE AREA

We stayed here for a week in June en route to the Hull-Zeebrugge ferry to Belgium, which was an easy hour's drive away. This was our first visit to the old industrial part of Yorkshire and there was so much to see and do that we didn't have enough time:  Bronte country, Saltaire, the textile towns of Hebden Bridge and its higher neighbour Heptonstall and the cities of Bradford and Leeds.   Easy to take the bus to Halifax and then the train to either Leeds and Bradford. As noted in the Club Handbook, the entrance to the CL is quite narrow but didn't cause us any difficulty.   Enjoyed having water as well as electricity at each site and the toilet was one of the very best we have seen on a CL.    The owners were very helpful, especially with advice on local transport.   Can also recommend The Brown Horse pub in Coley - good idea to book in advance as it seemed very popular. We would certainly return to visit more of this fascinating area.

Just What a CL Should Be

Highly recommended. A good combination of facilities without spoiling the CL atmosphere. Easy to find if you follow the handbook, although entrance sign could be more prominently displayed. All pitches serviced which was very convenient. Clean and tidy little WC block. Caravans have levelling paving stones but motorhomes will need blocks. Friendly welcome and owner lent me his OS map of the area. Good dog walks near to hand. Price very reasonable at £12 pn considering what you get for your money. My reason for going there was to take two damaged caravan windows to EECO in nearby Shelf, Halifax. They did a superb job in 24 hours and the savings on P&P more than paid for the diesel.

One of Yorkshires Gems

Just spent 6 nights on this fab CL own EHU own drinking water tap and grey water drain. There is even a fab loo with all mod cons on the site. Very friendly and helpful owners keep the site spotless. They have lots of knowledge about the area near and far. The site is in central West Yorkshire and ideal for visiting Bradford, Leeds, Halifax. Bronte Country just up the road, with the famous stem railway. You will love the pilace and the  surrounding countryside ,

Ideal for our one night stop

Fitted the bill for our early appointment in Bradford the next morning. Pleasant owner gave us an A4 sheet with all the necessary info on arrival. Pleasant views, simple loo nicely fitted out and very clean, basin with only cold water but that was no hardship. Tried the local pub as suggested by a previous review. Well the Bottomley Arms is a friendly family run pub with good grub and was heaving with locals at 6 o'clock on a Sunday evening, they obviously knew it was good. We had a long wait for food which were told when we arrived, but it was worth the wait.

Delightful cl

Spent two weeks on this site using it as a base to visit friends and family in the West Yorkshire area. Considering its proximity to Bradford and Halifax, its rural appearance is something of a surprise. Beautiful views across the Pennines, super local villages which are walkable with good food pubs to give sustenance. Nice tidy site with very clean wc, each pitch with water, electric and grey water drain, and very friendly owners. We shall definately return.
