Pleasant Place to Stay

Maintained to a high standard and very clean site facilities with easy road access and well placed for visiting the attractions of the local area. Owner was away when I arrived and there were no instructions on where to pay or which pitches to use etc., but this is a minor point on an otherwise great site.

A perfect CL.

A great site in a great area.Everything about the site is a credit to its owner Mrs Sparing,I have been on few sites that can equal the quality of this one,the grassed areas would do any Bowls club proud and the toilets were always spotless, even the refuse bins were empted daily.Yes there is a little noise from traffic but this does not really interfere with the overall peace and tranquility found here. Will we return to this site--most certainly.

An excellent all weather site.

We've stayed here twice, using the good quality hard-standings each time. The immaculately kept site is divided into two by a hedge :- immaculate lawned area nearer the road, and the five hard standing pitches in a row behind the hedge, affording views across the open field beyond. The site is just off a B road, so there is some road noise, but it's not intrusive. Access is very easy and the pitches are more or less level with little adjustment needed. There's a clean no-frills toilet. It's an excellent all-weather site. It's good for cycling, walking and foodies.  Ludlow is within easy reach by car or bus, and so too is Hereford, but further away. There are some good pubs in the area and Croft Castle is nearby. We love it and will certainly be returning again.

Nice weekend in the Marches

What a lovely little site this is. We decided to go away for the weekend after work on Friday and wondered if we could find anywhere within 2 hours of home. Well we could and we did and found a real pearl in the bargain. We arrived on Saturday at lunchtime to a warm greeting from both the dog and Mrs Sparey. We were advised of where everything was and told to select our pitch. The pitches are all handstand with the grassed areas that can only be described as lawns. There will be many golf clubs envious of these surroundings. The hedges were neatly trimmed to a level that. Let you see the sheep in the field beyond. Although next to a road traffic noise was not a problem. This one is definitely worthy of a revisit.

Great site

This is a really quiet and well kept site. Only a ten minute walk to'The Boot Inn' and local shop although the first hundred yards or so are on a main road. We could not get a TV signal without our sat dish. The site is very well maintained and very close to Ludlow and a couple of National Trust sites. Will be back again. Thank you.

A gem!

Lovely, well tended level lawn with the option of hardstandings. Basic WCs. Friendly owners. Best TV reception under the pylons!
